Back in my day you couldn't use the internet and the phone at the same time. Your internet connection was cut every time mom unknowingly picked up the phone.

Or every time brother knowingly picked up the phone, just to bug you or get back at you for something you did to bug him earlier.
ReplyDeleteOh, totally! I was guilty of that myself. If I wanted to use the phone and my brother wouldn't get off the internet (or he'd say "one minute" but then take forever), I would pick up the phone just to cut the connection. Dial-up was definitely a source of sibling fights.
